Walden Pond II

"Now, a taste for the beautiful is cultivated out-of-doors." --Thoreau. This view is of a little side pond off the main Pond (which we here in the lovely Midwest would call a lake). This small side pond has since dried up and turned to meadow. Thoreau's original cabin was located about 50 yards from this site.
