Oil and pastel on sanded canvas, 26" x 44", 1993.
A New York of the imagination. I took a photo from the Brooklyn approach to the Manhattan Bridge and just riffed on that. What happened was not, after all, New York, but a fictional cityscape inspired by New York. I used oil paints and pastels on sanded canvas.
